OAKLAND, FL - Discover the six-legged friends that call Florida home and try to find some of your own at the Oakland Nature Preserve on Saturday, September 5th at 10 am. Join Entomologist, Christy LeDuc, for September’s Insect Safari as she explores the fascinating world of insects. Did you know there are over 12,500 species of insects JUST in Florida? Christy will be going over all the insects she hasn’t presented on before. After an educational presentation in the classroom, join Christy outside for an Insect Safari around the Preserve and catch some crawly critters. (Nets will be provided.)
Admission is FREE and open to the public.
