Doing business with Chamber members is more important and goes deeper than you may think. It strengthens the business community, increases your own exposure and you will have a better experience than using non-Chamber members. So, how do you identify and use Chamber members? It is easier than you may think!

  • Replace the everyday activities you do not think about with Chamber member businesses: Get your haircut at a Chamber member salon, shop at a member grocery store, take your business meeting to a member restaurant, take your dog or cat to a member veterinarian, buy gifts from member retail stores, order business cards from a member printer, work out at a member gym… the opportunities are endless!
  • Build your contacts and be the hero everyday: Many times, the members you are talking to are going to become your VIP saviors! When someone you know – friends, family, colleagues, neighbors – need something, you are going to be able to send them to someone who will take the BEST care of them. Congratulations, you have now become a connector!
  • Increase your exposure as an active community connector: When you use, partner and refer members make sure to check-In, leave a positive review and share on social media using the hashtag #wochamber! This does two things, it shows that you are an active supporter of your local business community and it gives positive exposure to your fellow Chamber member businesses who are taking good care of you! Win/Win!

When individuals know that a business is a member of the local chamber, the business enjoys a 68% increase in its local reputation, and an 80% increase in the likelihood that consumers will patronize the business in the future. The key factor in developing and maintaining positive consumer perception of your business is that consumers know that your business is a Chamber member! (Schapiro Group Study) Identifying as a connected, trusted and referred member is as easy as your membership plaque, store front window cling and/or the approved Chamber logo on your website and/or social media.

Finding who is a fellow Chamber member is as easy as looking up the business directory by category at wochamber.com on your phone or device, or asking a Chamber team member! Being a part of your West Orange Chamber of Commerce, a three-time Chamber of the Year, is a source of pride. Connect with each other, support each other, and refer each other; go forth and do good business!
