Making a New Year’s Resolution for your Business

comments | Read Comments

It's time to put your New Year’s Resolutions for your business into action, here is how to get started! You probably have been receiving emails from the West Orange Chamber for months but haven’t found the right time or know how to move forward with your membership – until now.

Membership in the WOCC can help you check the following resolutions off your list:

Join a business organization

Business growth, community connection through networking, marketing and education are reasons why businesses join organizations. There are many out there but why not be a part of the best with over 1100+ members and named Best Chamber in the State of Florida three consecutive times? Your membership is also tax deductible, don’t forget to claim your Chamber membership as a business expense!

Promote your business on a regular basis

Members and other potential customers can find you through the WOCC business directory and the print business directory (Discover Magazine). Connect with others at 100+ networking opportunities as well as remote benefits online. Advertise and sponsor in the bi-weekly e-publication, events or social media.

Give back to your community

Being a member of your local Chamber gives you the opportunity to make a difference in the bigger picture of business, contributing to the growth and success of your fellow new and long standing businesses. Always utilize Chamber members when in need of a product or service and they will do the same for your business, simple as that; support your business community and they will support you!

Be a business mentor or receive business advice from others

Experienced business owners have a wealth of knowledge, why not meet at an event or in a guest article to share ideas and suggestions?  Each year, our members are encouraged to write an industry expert article about what you know best and are published on wochamber.com and/or LinkedIn.

Learn something to help advance your business

Several times per year, the Chamber offers classes and/or programs to help increase your business acumen. Members are often the expert presenters in a welcoming and casual atmosphere where questions and feedback are encouraged.

Utilize social media to expand your audience

Be a part of the Chamber’s social media and share information and exciting news about your business. Like and comment on others’ posts, write an article for LinkedIn, let us retweet your tweets and share your videos while we tag it back to you!

Know your prospective customers on a personal level

On the golf course during Golf Networking Group and Golf Classic Tournament, over a dessert at Best Fest, celebrating excellence at the Big Orange Awards.  Over 100 networking events give you the opportunity to expand your business relationships face to face and with a handshake.

Let your Chamber advocate on your behalf

Advocacy is key! The Chamber takes your concerns to Tallahassee to positively affect your business. We have been successful in making a difference for over 45 years and continue to be your voice, your membership supports the positive West Orange business climate.
