The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) recognized President/CEO Stina D’Uva’s 15th Anniversary of joining the organization at its Member Appreciation Breakfast, held at Valencia College on December 8, 2016.
The WOCC hired D’Uva as President on December 3, 2001. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to be financially stable, with a debt free permanent home and an expanded parking lot. The Chamber has achieved numerous milestones under D’Uva’s leadership. In 2007, the WOCC was certified by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP), a designation given to chambers for following best practices and being industry leaders. The WOCC is a three-time State of Florida Chamber of the Year, having been recognized for its success in 2009, 2012 and 2015.
The West Orange Chamber can attribute a great deal of its success to the combination of longevity and experience among its leadership team. In addition to D’Uva’s 15 years as President/CEO, Vice President Krista Carter has also been a part of the team for over 15 years, Events Director Carrie Wilson for over 10 years and Events Manager Kelly Jones for five years. The West Orange Chamber has grown to become a fixture in the community, facilitating countless opportunities for area organizations and advocating for positions that strengthen West Orange businesses.
