The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) announced today that Tim Cook of Florida Hospital has joined the organization’s Board of Directors.
Cook serves as the administrator of Florida Hospital Apopka. As Senior Vice President, he has overseen the construction and transition to the new Florida Hospital Apopka campus, which is expected to open in late 2017. He also oversees Florida Hospital Winter Garden, and is focused on offering complementary services at the two hospitals that will allow West Orange residents to get comprehensive medical care close to home.
The Chamber also took time to recognize Amanda Maggard for her dedication and service, as she steps down from the Board of Directors and Executive Committee to take on a new career opportunity outside the West Orange service area.
Joining the Executive Committee is Dawn Willis of Observer Media Group. Already a member of the Board, she will now serve as the organization’s Human Resources Director. Willis is the publisher of the Central Florida region of Observer Media Group, which includes the West Orange Times & Observer, Windermere Observer and Winter Park-Maitland Observer.
