Summary

East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, with support from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, is hosting two free virtual  Business Resilience Planning – Training Workshops on March 21st and April 18th  at 8:30 AM. Led by Robert Preininger, a business resiliency specialist, this training will explore the core elements of developing a business continuity program to help small to medium-sized businesses be better prepared to protect their workplace and workforce in the event of an interruption.

The workshop will review the three foundational elements to business continuity:

  • Command and control (leadership – who does what)
  • Communications (internal and external communications)
  • Coordinated response (which employees do what; how to have your employees plan in their personal lives so they can focus on work)

By providing guidance to companies on building and implementing their own programs, this training can help businesses to save time and dollars, as well as reduce headaches from unexpected shocks or crises in the future.
