Live Music in Town of Oakland

The Town of Oakland is highlighting a new up-and-coming guitarist, Taylor Rich, on Friday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a live music performance on the Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland’s porch. In partnership with the HAPCO Music Foundation, the songstress will be singing original songs and covers outside of the Center, inviting visitors step into the gallery to learn historical facts about the Town of Oakland, browse walls full of paintings and more.

Visitors are welcome to sit on the Center porch, picnic tables and benches, or bring their lawn chairs and listen to the music from the grass next to the West Orange Trail. Center capacity will be limited to 75 persons at a time. Visitors are encouraged to wear masks and use hand sanitizer upon entry.

Rich is a musician with New York City roots and Southern California branches. Born in one, raised in the other, she’s got an easy fierceness that comes out in the music she writes and chooses to cover. From Linda Rondstadt to Radiohead, she’s influenced by all decades and genres – a fan of Cole Porter, Hindi music, instrumental hip hop, and everything in between.  A self-taught musician starting with piano and dabbling in ukulele, Rich mainly focuses on guitar. In 2019, she started touring and by early 2020, she had played in 28 states. Plus, she’s currently in productions with Real Feel Studio in Orlando and her first single HONEYBABE will be released soon.
