The Chamber’s Economic & Governmental Advocacy Committee is hosting several Spotlight Speaker presentations based on transportation current and future needs in Central Florida.
The first presentation, took place last week and highlighted I-4 Beyond the Ultimate project which impacts the interchanges at Sand Lake Road and Daryl Carter Parkway. The next presentation, scheduled for Friday, September 27 will feature Orange County Commissioner VanderLey discussing the current status of transportation and future transportation needs in West Orange county.
Finally, on Friday, October 25, Orange County Mayor Demings will be our Spotlight Speaker and he will discus the proposed 1 cent transportation tax and the recommendations of the affordable housing task force he created.
These Presentations are open to the Chamber membership and everyone is encouraged to attend. Since, the Chamber be vetting and possibly taking a position on the proposed 1 cent transportation sales tax , your input will be invaluable to our issues protocol.
