As 2019 marches on, the West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) continues to facilitate opportunities for our business community and beyond.
The Horizon Networking Group, has officially kicked off. Many of those in attendance, have already been enjoying this new business opportunity to connect with fellow members in one of the fastest growing developments in Florida, Horizon West! To learn more about this networking opportunity, please contact Viviane at firstname.lastname@example.org
Later this week, on Thursday, March 28th, the WOCC will be hosting the first Celebrating Extraordinary Women’s Event for 2019. This event provides West Orange’s leading women the opportunity to share ideas and gain inspiration from other successful businesswomen, in a fun and casual environment. We are thrilled to welcome three of the areas most accomplished women: Marva Johnson - VP of State Government Affairs for Charter Communications South Region; Ellen Korbin - Entrepreneur & Small Business owner of Hill of Beans Coffee Company, Creative Culineers and Elli Lou’s Brews & BBQ; and Betsy VanderLey - Orange County Commissioner District 1. Guests will enjoy hearing about the experiences of each of our guest speakers, with plenty of time for cocktails and conversation.
The West Orange Foundation is also facilitating opportunities via the Danniel J. Petro Foundation Scholarship. Please spread the word to those you might know who can benefit from this educational scholarship opportunity. The scholarship fund, administered by the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, was established to make it possible for eligible students from local high schools to further their education at Valencia College, Orange Technical College or the University of Central Florida. The West Orange Foundation is able to fund the scholarships through the generous contributions of the Petro Family Foundation.
