By Tim Haberkamp, WOCC Chairman
2019 is a great year to take on the role of Chairman of the West Orange Chamber. I am Tim Haberkamp and proud to serve in this capacity. I follow Joe Alarie and his leadership that included a phenomenal year for our Chamber as it completed the renovations to our offices and conference center. I have been involved with the Chamber since 2003, in many ways including being a graduate of Leadership West Orange, a member of the Economic & Governmental Advocacy Committee for years, which brought me to the Board of Directors. The years of involvement have taught me how the Chamber facilitates opportunity in so many ways, yet most important as a proponent of our region for economic development and taking on pro-business initiatives.
This year, the Chamber Team will continue its efforts on the issues that will keep West Orange as a most desirable place for business growth and relocation. It will also continue to provide the great programs and events to assist YOU, our members in growing your business, your network and ultimately your bottom line.
We have plenty of great business-building opportunities coming up, starting with The Big Orange Awards on February 1. This event is one to look forward to every year as the Chamber honors the accomplishments and triumphs of some of the Chamber’s most admired and inspirational members.
Mark your calendar for Best Fest on April 11, hosted once again by our friends at the City of Ocoee on the shore of Starke Lake and presented by Healthy West Orange. For all of our restaurant members, now is the time to take advantage of this incredible opportunity to showcase the culinary delights that will have attendees rushing to your doors for more.
I know that 2019 is going to be a successful year for you and all of our West Orange Chamber members. I look forward to seeing you at future events and programs. If you ever need assistance, please do not hesitate to talk to me or the Chamber Team.
