WEST ORANGE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WE SAY GOODBYE AND WE SAY HELLO The West Orange Chamber of Commerce said a warmhearted farewell to outgoing Chairman Dr. Diane Trees, UCF and welcomed Jim Densmore, Parkland International Realty as the incoming West Orange Chamber Chairman for 2010 and Lynetta Tipton Steed as Chairman-Elect. The installation ceremony took place at June Engineering during the Chamber’s Business After Hours and board meeting. Jim Densmore is with the commercial division of Parkland International Realty and began his real estate career in 1989 with experience in both the residential and commercial markets. Jim has been on the Chamber’s Board of Directors since 2003 and has served two terms as the Treasurer before becoming Chairman Elect. Jim has also served on the Membership Committee, the Committee of 101 and has twice received the Chamber award of Member of the Month. “Jim deserves this honor of Chairman of the Board due to his years of support and dedication to growing the Chamber’s membership”, said Stina D’Uva, President/CEO West Orange Chamber. The Chamber starts the new year off with the title of “Chamber of the Year” and will continue working in the same fashion that bestowed the Chamber this award. With this New Year comes new board appointments to the Chamber and we say goodbye to many of our well serving board members: Ron Garrison, Morgan Stanley, Bob Hennen, Castle & Cooke, Paul Sexton, Sexton Realty Advisors, LLC, Dianne Southwell, Plaudits! and Russ Salerno, M&I Bank. Russ will also become a “Lifetime Director” of the Chamber. The Chamber says hello to our new board members: Samuel Davis, Jr., Lake Apopka Natural Gas District, Dr. Gaby Hawat, Valencia Community College, Rob Maphis, James A. Cummings, Inc., Yog Melwani, Apex Commerce Center, LLC, Scott Michael, Strombeck Consulting, CPAs and Lynette Reynolds, At Your Service. WEST ORANGE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMUNITY TRUSTEES WELCOME CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMS The West Orange Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to welcome changes to the Community & Supporting Trustee Programs… New additions have been made to the West Orange Chamber’s Community Trustee program. Bright House Networks, Orlando Health and the University of Central Florida will now receive the highest level of membership benefits which include (but not limited to) prime visibility on the Chamber website, recognition at all Chamber events and a listing on all Chamber promotional materials and letterhead, while providing the Chamber with added financial stability. They join Ace Hardware, BankFIRST, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida, Bright Future Electric, Castle & Cooke, CentruyLink, DeWitt Excavating, DRB Benefits Group, Fishback, Dominick, Bennett, Stepter, Ardaman, Ahlers, & Langley LLP, GrayRobinson, PA, Health Central, Manheim Orlando, PrismOne, Progress Energy, Regions Bank, South & Milhausen, PA, and Walt Disney World Company. “Both the Community and Supporting Trustees are the back bone of the Chamber”, said Jim Densmore, 2010 Chairman of the WOCC Board of Directors. “Stepping up to the Community Trustee level is a huge financial commitment, along with the financial commitment of the Supporting Trustees, it insures a solid foundation in the daily operations of the Chamber. My appreciation goes out to all of our Trustees for their contributions to the Chamber and the West Orange community.” The Chamber’s Supporting Trustee program is also welcoming two new members to its group; Advanced Disposal and Form Community.
