Orange County Public Schools Teach In
Thursday, November 21
Here in West Orange County, workforce development is an increasingly important topic. The economy is thriving and businesses continue to flock to our area, but we know that finding and providing qualified employees is a mounting issue. We know one of the solutions is to start engaging High School students and making them aware of the possibilities available to them for a future career.
On Thursday, November 21, 2019 Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) is hosting the annual OCPS Teach-In program. This is a great opportunity to get in front of students and bring awareness to the various jobs that are in demand now and will continue to be in the future.
The West Orange Chamber is partnering with OCPS to assist in finding the best participants for the High Schools (Olympia HS, West Orange HS, Windermere HS, Ocoee HS, Dr. Phillips HS and Evans HS) located in West Orange County for this year’s Teach-in program. We are requesting that you or someone or many from your organization volunteer to participate this year.
This is your opportunity to join community and business leaders to help shape the future of our workforce. If you are interested in participating, please let Tracy Seebach know which school works best for you. We will then connect you with the right people to get you registered and prepped for November 21.
