WINTER GARDEN, FL – Last week, the West Orange Chamber of Commerce’s Board Members gathered for a leadership retreat. This retreat featured team-building exercises expertly facilitated by Dr. Lauryn A. De George, MBA, EdD, Senior Instructor of the Department of Management at the University of Central Florida. The retreat provided an invaluable opportunity for all participants to get to know one another and develop a deeper understanding of the knowledge and skill set that each individual brings to their service on the board.

The event, held on October 26 and 27, held particular significance as it also celebrated the retirement of the esteemed past President and CEO, Stina D’Uva after 22 years of serving as the President and CEO of the WOCC.

Notably, it served as the inaugural introduction of Stephen Lewis to the Board as the new President and CEO of the WOCC, enabling attendees to acquaint themselves with the new leadership and discuss the exciting vision for the future of the Chamber.

We are immensely grateful to all the Board Members, staff, and Dr. Lauryn A. De George MBA, EdD, Senior Instructor of the Department of Management at the University of Central Florida, for their dedication in making Stina’s farewell Board Retreat a truly remarkable and memorable event.

The West Orange Chamber of Commerce remains committed to its mission of supporting and fostering the local business community, and this annual retreat signifies the Chamber’s unwavering dedication to leadership continuity and fostering a cohesive, collaborative environment.
