City of Ocoee’s Joly Jamboree and Holiday Tree Lighting

OCOEE, Fla. – The City of Ocoee will host its Jolly Jamboree and Holiday Tree Lighting event on Saturday, December 9 from 3 p.m.– 8 p.m. on McKey Street in Downtown Ocoee, City Hall and the historic Withers-Maguire House. A Holiday Dog Parade will kick off at 3 p.m. and the tree lighting ceremony will start at 7 p.m. at City Hall located at 1 North Bluford Avenue.

The holiday event is free and open to the public. Attendees can enjoy a variety of free activities including an ice slide, zipline, axe throwing, carnival rides, bubble bus, face-to-face rock wall climbing and face painting. There will be a small fee for some of the activities including horse and carriage rides, craft vendors, downtown merchants and food trucks. Dickens Carolers will stroll and sing throughout the event and there will be performances on stage by Ocoee Broadway Arts, Ocoee Elementary, Ocoee High School Band, Prairie Lake Elementary, Spring Lake Elementary and the Mistletones.

Dog owners are invited to dress their furry friends in their best holiday attire for the 2nd Annual Holiday Dog Parade. Judging for the dog parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. and prizes will be awarded. Parade registration is available online at www.ocoee.org

Photos with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will take place at the historic Withers-Maguire House from 4:30 p.m.– 8:00 p.m. The Withers-Maguire House, built in 1888, will be decked out in holiday decorations with tours and photo opportunities. The Friends of Ocoee History Preservation will give tours of the house where people can learn how holidays were celebrated at the turn of the century.
