EVENT SUMMARY

As part of Orlando Health‘s commitment to serving the West Orange community, Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital is offering free vascular health screenings. No physician referral required.

Screening Criteria Questions

  • • Do you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol?
  • • Do you have heart problems?
  • • Do you have a history of chronic kidney disease?
  • • Do you currently smoke or have you ever smoked?
  • • Do you have a history of stroke or mini-stroke (TIA)?
  • • Do you have aching, cramping or pain in your legs when you walk or exercise that goes away when you rest?
  • • Do you have pain in your toes or feet at night?
  • • Do you have ulcers or sores on your legs or feet that are slow to heal?
  • • Do you have an inactive lifestyle?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be at risk for vascular disease. Find out about your vascular health through this simple, free screening. The screening includes a quick and pain-free ankle brachial index (ABI) test that checks for the presence of blocked or narrowed blood vessels that result in poor circulation, particularly in the legs.

Special Instructions

  • • Come in through the main entrance of Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital. You will be directed to a table for on-site registration.
  • • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow easy access to your hands and feet.
  • • Please remove any fingernail and toenail polish the night before.
  • • Please also refrain from wearing or applying any lotion to your skin.
  • • You must be able to lay flat during the screening (approximately 20 minutes).
