OCOEE, Fla. – The city will host a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at its Ocoee Community Market to be held on Thursday, October 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center, 125 North Lakeshore Drive. The outdoor market will feature Latin music, free salsa dance lessons, giveaways, door prizes and food trucks offering Hispanic cuisine. Dozens of local vendors will showcase their unique and creative products, ranging from handmade crafts to artisan snacks. Admission is free.

The City of Ocoee recognizes the rich and diverse culture of its Hispanic and Latino residents who represent 22 percent of the city’s population. The city acknowledges the many achievements and contributions of the Hispanic community and is proud to join the nationwide observance of Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. The Ocoee City Commission will issue a Hispanic Heritage Month proclamation at its meeting on September 17.
