The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) installed its 2022 Chairman in front of over 200 members at the 2021 Member Celebration Brunch, hosted by The Ocoee Lakeshore Center on December 4th. Camille Evans of Virtus, LLC., and WOCC Chairwoman passed the gavel to J.T. McWalter of the Orlando Magic, officially signaling the beginning of his term as 2022 Chairman. One of the first orders,  J.T. McWalter put in place was the announcement of John McReynolds of Universal Orlando as the Chairman-Elect. J.T. also reinstated Dr. Kim Hardy of UCF as the Treasurer and Paul McNamara of Reed Nissan, the Human Resources Director.

During the board meeting portion of the event, the Chamber took time to recognize departing board members for their service and dedication: Rob Berens of Seacoast Bank, Derek Bruce of Gunster, Rob Maphis of The Collage Companies, and Dawn Willis of Orlando Health. The remaining board members welcomed Joe Dunn of Friends of Lake Apopka, Adam Markowitz of Howard L. Markowitz CPA, Harold Gattereau of Vitality Bowls, and Brian Wetzel of Orlando Health to the 2022 Board of Directors.

Before Camile Evans took her exit, she shared an inspirational speech.  Evans highlighted that no matter our differences, we all share, a commitment to serve our community.  As good stewards, we must be intentional about the legacies we’re building, being careful to honor the sacrifices of those who have come before us, yet, remember that we need not take the world as it is or leave it as it was when we came in.  Evans then presented Stina D’Uva with a special sculpture commemorating her 20th Anniversary with the West Orange Chamber and thanked her for her commitment and service to the organization.
