Leadership is defined as the act of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal. That includes providing inspiration, providing people with the tools needed to achieve success, creating a great work environment — and, at times, rolling up your sleeves and doing some hard work yourself.

Today, we’re introducing some of the most impressive among those Central Florida business leaders in Orlando Business Journal‘s 2020 CEOs of the Year awards.

OBJ received dozens of nominations of CEOs, or those holding equivalent titles, of companies based Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Volusia or Brevard counties. A judging committee then narrowed down those candidates based on business success, personal achievements and community involvement.

The winning 20 executives — who represent industries ranging from health care to real estate, hospitality, technology and nonprofits — are being honored for their impressive business stewardship; cultivating an inclusive, collaborative culture; and their involvement in the local community.
