CSCF Summer Youth Program
Through the Summer Youth Program, young adults, ages 16 – 19, from Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Sumter counties, explore new career fields, tour state and technical colleges, gain real-world, hands-on experiences in high-demand fields, network with career professionals, and become mentored in an educational environment tailored for their success. With individualized case-management, job-training, and placement services, CSCF helps youth become more confident and skilled.
CSCF offers three tracks; Explore, Experience and Accelerate, which help them experience professional paid internships, explore career paths, discover skills or trades, learn about financial responsibility and launch their career journey. The program is unique as it focuses on breaking through distinctive barriers to empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient members of the community and decreases the likelihood of future unemployment and homelessness. The program serves as a unique summer youth program that helps underrepresented youth at a critical time in their lives.
In 2019 summer program, CSCF successfully served nearly 1,000 youth with an economic impact of more than $1.7M in Central Florida. This year, the goal of CSCF is to serve 1,500 youth with a potential economic impact of $2.5M in the region.
