Well, 2020 is finally coming to a close.  This year has been like no other and definitely not what I, or the world had planned.  I thought that I would be attending fun events such as Big Orange Awards, Best Fest and numerous Business After Hours right by Stina’s side.  Yet, in reality, most of my 2020 has been spent behind a laptop with the best internet connection available, CenturyLink.  Even though this year didn’t go the way I planned, I am still proud of what the West Orange Chamber has accomplished.  I can honestly say that the West Orange Chamber, the board of directors and the executive leadership team have certainly delivered on their commitment to serving the Chamber Membership and West Orange business community. I am truly grateful to work with them, you our members and honored to have had the opportunity to serve as your chairwoman at this particular time.

Through the pandemic, economic downturn and a racial crisis, we faced every obstacle with thoughtfulness, empathy and with our chamber membership top of mind.  We came together during an unprecedented year and quickly changed our programing to assist our members in a new virtual world.  I would like to express my immense gratitude to those business leaders who gave of their time and talents to serve on the Chamber Board.  We sincerely appreciate those board members for their service and dedication throughout their terms.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Chamber Team, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season as we look forward to a better 2021.

Sincerely,

Deborah Rios-Barnes
