Chairwomans’ Article March 2020
At the West Orange Chamber, the health and safety of our members and community remain our highest priority. Our team has been monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak since it was announced publicly, and we continue to review breaking information from the CDC, state officials, and other health organizations.
We have canceled all our upcoming events through the end of April. We are doing our best to reschedule these functions. We will keep our chamber members and the community updated accordingly through our website and Facebook page. We are working on establishing virtual meeting alternatives for our networking groups, committees, and task forces.
Events may be halted for now, but other Chamber operations will continue as we navigate through this situation. The Chamber Team is seeking your input about the impacts you’re seeing due to the Coronavirus (and recent decisions which deeply impact our community), how we might adjust our program of work to best serve you, and other ideas you have that will allow us to best support our members and stakeholders during this time. We hope that through collective action, we can ease the burden and make positive impacts together on our local economy. Please take this brief survey.
We will keep monitoring the situation and will share additional updates via email, wochamber.com, and social media in the event we need to take further action. Meanwhile, we encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the current, known details and follow guidelines for personal protection and prevention of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please remember, now is the time to support and do business with one another; please visit our Business Directory for a full list of Chamber members. Click here for a guide to our chamber restaurants and details on how they’re handling this situation such as limited-time curbside pickup, delivery options, and enhanced cleaning measures. And for our restaurants here’s another survey so that we can add you to this guide.
Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation in helping to ensure we follow best practices to keep our global community healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.
