Orlando, Fla., January 3, 2022Florida Golf & Beaches is “taking real estate to new heights” setting a record for the largest real estate sale in Orange County according to MLS data. The lakeside property estate at 9225 Lake Mabel Drive in Orlando sold for $12.5 million in an all-cash deal, Karan Wienker listing agent and broker/owner of Windermere-based Florida Golf & Beaches LLC. The previous record price was set in 2017 at $11 million for an estate on Interlachen Avenue in Winter Park.

This is indicative of the strong demand for housing in Orlando’s luxury market with limited availability and increasing prices. Trends in the residential real estate market are important overall economic indicators, as every home sale in the state has an estimated local economic impact of $90,300, according to the National Association of Realtors. It is also an indicator of the local economy’s overall health.

This, combined with significant labor shortages and current supply chain disruptions, are creating a delay in new homes and soaring prices, none of which is helping the situation.” According to the National Association of Realtors, a total of 8.9 million people changed addresses since the start of the pandemic. The association reports that close to 28% of the people relocating to Florida came from Texas and another 15% from New York with 6% coming from California. Wienker is also licensed in California, and all principals of Florida Golf & Beaches are CIPS (Certified International Property Specialists) they frequently travel to, and collaborate with other state’s and International clients wanting to invest in the Central Florida region.
