Nemours Mobile Clinic – Project Information
The Nemours Mobile Clinic is a project of the infectious disease department of Nemours Children’s Hospital to provide free preventive care to uninsured children in underserved neighborhoods. The pilot project will take place on Saturdays (about 9am – 1pm) in January and February. Many children have missed their normal pediatric well checks and have fallen behind in vaccines due to COVID-19. Our goal is to see 20 children at each clinic to get them up-to-date on well checks and vaccinations. We have a fully-stocked exam room in a Nemours van that we can bring to our partner organizations in order to see children in locations familiar and convenient for them and their families. The clinic is fully run by volunteer Nemours physicians, residents, child-life specialists, and students.
