Orange County Commission – District 1 Update
While on the campaign trail in 2015 and 2016 I listened to the hopes, concerns, project ideas, and aspirations of the residents I was seeking to serve. This laid the foundation for my office agenda these past 4 years. While there was a wide range of need, the central focus was Infrastructure – roadways, parks, traffic signals, connectivity – so, much of my efforts reflected that. I am proud to say I was able to keep many of the promises I made to you and am pleased to share in this final message to you as your District 1 Commissioner the attached summary of what we accomplished together in these four short years. I know these successes were made possible only by partnering with the constituents I served, with the support and expertise of countless County staff, and the dedicated service of my Aide and Administrative Assistant. As important as I believe these key accomplishments to be, providing reliable day-to-day Constituent Services was closest to my heart as your Commissioner. Between incoming emails and phone calls, my team of 3 (including me) tackled an average of 20 – 50 constituent issues daily. Regardless of the volume of incoming needs on any given day, we upheld open communication and excellent customer service as top priorities. With that as the heart and soul of Team District 1, it was my pleasure to practice an open-door policy and I was privileged to meet and problem-solve alongside multiple hundreds of residents throughout my time in office. With great humility and gratitude, I offer a most sincere THANK YOU for the invaluable opportunity I had to represent the enviable gem of a community that is District 1.
