Winter Garden, FL – On February 9, 2024, The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) will be honoring the outstanding people and businesses in the West Orange community at their Big Orange Awards. The event will take place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort; sponsored by Platinum Sponsor Walt Disney World Resort. The Presenting Sponsor of the event is Orlando Health. Other sponsors include AdventHealth, Duke Energy, The Foundation for a Healthier West Orange, Author Made Photography, Cannonfire Photography, Jo Barsh – State Farm Insurance Agent, and Bindra Productions. The event will include a fun-filled interactive reception, dinner catered by Disney’s culinary team, entertainment, and a celebration of outstanding individuals and businesses in the West Orange Community. 

All of the award winners were announced at the Chamber’s annual Member Celebration Brunch in December, with the exception of the Small Business Member of the Year, Big Businesses Member of Year, and the Ambassador of the Year awards which will be announced at the event. The Big Orange Award recipients are: 

Sam Hovsepian Award  – Bill Cowles, Orange County Supervisor of Elections

Mary VanDeventer Award “Spirit of West Orange” – Krista Carter, Lifetime Member of the WOCC

George Bailey Award – Orlando Magic

Bert Roper Award – Dennis Jones, Winter Garden Wheel Works

Danniel J. Petro “The Bright Future of West Orange Award” – Skip Brown, Bright Future Electric

Chair’s Award – Frank Adams, FASTSIGNS

Ambassador of the Year – Jo Barsh, State Farm Agent (announced on Big Orange Awards on 2/9/2024)

Small Business of the Year – Luminary Tax Advisors (announced on Big Orange Awards on 2/9/2024)
