WINTER GARDEN, FL. – The West Orange Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) as its newest Community Trustee.

CFX also plays a vital role in the region’s economy and is leveling the playing field for small businesses located in West Orange County and throughout Central Florida looking to have a hand in the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of our toll roads. By working with small, disadvantaged business enterprises, minority and women-owned enterprises, the agency’s Business Opportunities Department is helping to ensure equal opportunity and equal access for those businesses to participate in CFX’s procurement process.

“We are thrilled to be part of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce,” says Michelle Maikisch, executive director of the Central Florida Expressway Authority. “For decades, CFX has had a hand in connecting and enhancing access throughout West Orange County. Partnering with the Chamber will amplify our efforts to work with the community to drive positive change and build on the high quality of life residents and visitors of West Orange County continue to enjoy.”

“We are excited to welcome the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) as our newest Community Trustee,” said Stephen Lewis, President & CEO of the WOCC. “As an agency that our community relies on daily in order to commute to their place of business, or take advantage of the region’s world class theme parks and attractions, this relationship is one that will further collaboration and foster discussion between the businesses, municipalities, and residents in West Orange County on the transportation and infrastructure needs of our community.”
