UCP of Central Florida celebrated their brand-new inclusive campus on September 21, 2021. The eight-acre campus is the new home of UCP’s innovative programs which provide children with disabilities and their typically developing peers equal access to customized education, therapy, and family support services.

The campus was made possible through the generosity of donors and fueled in part by a $1.5 million grant from the West Orange Healthcare District. The vision of the UCP Healthy West Orange Campus is to create an inclusive community for children and families in Winter Garden, where immersive instruction, multi-disciplinary therapy services, and interpersonal resources are available to students of all abilities in an affirming, motivating, and customized environment. UCP has also integrated technology, arts, and project-based instruction for a multi-dimensional approach to childhood development and education.

UCP’s previous Winter Garden campus had been at capacity with a robust waiting list of families seeking to enroll in the program. The new campus is expected to accommodate approximately 500 students, nearly double the capacity of the original location. “This is a tremendous gift coming at just the right time,” said UCP Central Florida CEO Dr. Ilene Wilkins. “The need for our services in West Orange had far outpaced our capacity.”

“Our primary focus is to champion initiatives that address key health issues in our community,” said West Orange Healthcare District CEO Tracy Swanson. “This expansion will greatly increase UCP’s ability to serve families with special needs and we are excited to be part of the project.”

UCP’s Healthy West Orange Campus is located at 1441 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
