COMING SOON IN 2025
Each year the West Orange Chamber of Commerce facilitates the “WOCC Education Awards” program for students in the West Orange County area. This program includes honoring over 30 “Students of Achievement and Renown” (S.O.A.R.) award recipients, and presentation of The Danniel J. Petro Scholarship beneficiaries.
“Students of Achievement and Renown” (S.O.A.R.) is an award of merit, recognizing students who have shown initiative, good citizenship, commitment, and personal growth in the classroom.
The Danniel J. Petro Scholarship is provided through the West Orange Foundation, Inc. and administrated by the West Orange Chamber of Commerce. The scholarship fund was established to allow eligible students from local high schools to further their education at Valencia College, Orange Technical College, or the University of Central Florida. The West Orange Foundation funds the scholarships through the generous contributions of the Petro Family Foundation and Duke Energy.
This event attracts nearly 200 attendees from all over West Orange Count, and is by invitation only!
