ORLANDO, Fla., May 18, 2020 The AT&T Foundation is donating $25,000 to the Orlando Health Team Member Relief Fund to support those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant will be used to provide stipends for living expenses, such as rent and utilities, to healthcare workers most affected by the pandemic.

“We are grateful for the AT&T Foundation’s generosity to the frontline healthcare workers at Orlando Health during the constantly evolving COVID-19 pandemic,” said John Bozard, president of the Orlando Health Foundation. “This grant will help our healthcare workers who are laboring around the clock and experiencing financial hardship due to lack of childcare and partners’ jobs being furloughed.”

Orlando Health is a not-for-profit healthcare organization which spans nine Florida counties with nearly 450 locations that include 13 wholly-owned or affiliated hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer centers, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, more than 300 physician offices for adults and pediatrics, and 11 urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging daily life as we know it, and Florida’s healthcare professionals are operating on the frontlines of this crisis,” said AT&T External Affairs Regional Director Dan Pollock. “With those in mind that leave their families every day to help others, the AT&T Foundation is proud to support Orlando Health. These brave men and women represent the best of us and we are pleased to offer our support.”
