City of Ocoee: Jolly Jamboree and Holiday Tree Lighting


The City of Ocoee will host its Jolly Jamboree and Holiday Tree Lighting event on Saturday, December 10 from 4 p.m.– 9 p.m. on McKey Street in Downtown Ocoee, City Hall and the city’s historic Withers-Maguire House. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the new City Hall located at 1 North Bluford Avenue.

The holiday event is open to the public. There will be a small fee for some of the activities including the horse and carriage rides, craft vendors, downtown merchants and food trucks. All other activities are free. There will be a variety of fun things to do including an ice-skating rink, bubble bus, tea cups, axe throwing, Dickens Carolers, Spring Lake Elementary Sonidos, Ocoee High School Band, a jazz pianist and more.

New this year at the Jolly Jamboree is a Holiday Dog Parade and Holiday Ocoee Sing-Off Contest. Dog owners are invited to dress their furry friends in holiday attire and stroll down McKey Street. The dog parade starts at 4 p.m. and participants should register online. Calling all singers to enter the Holiday Ocoee Sing-Off Contest to be held from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Singers should reserve their spot by emailing dreasonkerkhoff@ocoee.org by Friday, December 2.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will visit the historic Withers-Maguire House from 5:15 p.m.– 8:30 p.m. to meet and greet visitors. The house, built in 1888, will be decked out in holiday decorations with tours and photo opportunities. The Friends of Ocoee History Preservation will give tours of the house where people can learn how holidays were celebrated at the turn of the century.
