Evening at the Pops on Saturday, March 23

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra to perform at Newton Park

Winter Garden, FL – The Rotary Club of Winter Garden is excited to announce its partnership with the City of Winter Garden for Evening at the Pops with the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra (SCSO) featuring former American Idol finalist John Stevens on Saturday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. Pre-show entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. The event will take place at Newton Park, located at 31 W Garden Ave, Winter Garden.

Under the vision and leadership of Aaron Collins, the SCSO reflects all that makes Central Florida special: its creativity, spirit, beauty, and quest for knowledge. You will remember John Stevens as the 16-year-old red-haired Rat Pack crooner who auditioned with Dean Martin‘s “That’s Amore” and became a finalist on American Idol. Stevens, who was once nicknamed “Teen Martin,” will sing with the Space Coast Symphony Jazz Orchestra to present Sinatra, Martin & More. The program will include riveting selections from George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Kurt Weill, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra. The concert will swing, with Stevens leading the party on a journey through a century of America’s greatest music.

Attendees can purchase General Admission tickets for $10 per person. Children aged eight years and under are free. General Admission tickets can be purchased at the event or before the event at Winter Garden City Hall, the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, or online at www.rotaryclubofwintergarden.org or http://bit.ly/2024Pops. Guests can bring their blankets, chairs, and picnic baskets for a delightful outdoor concert under the stars.

VIP tickets are available for $75 per person, offering reserved seating, VIP parking, dinner, drinks, and live entertainment by the HAPCO Music Foundation inside Tanner Hall. VIP tickets are only available for purchase in advance.
