During a time of year when we reflect on what we’re thankful for, I wanted to share with you all three programs within the Chamber that play major roles at the WOCC. They are all led by several great folks, outside of the Chamber staff and board, for whom I’m very thankful.  For those members looking to get more involved with the Chamber, perhaps one of these programs would be a great fit for you!

West Orange Chamber Ambassadors – In hearing from longtime West Orange Chamber Ambassador – and Lifetime board member – Jim Densmore of Premier Sotheby’s recently, I was reminded of how much the Ambassadors do in our community and for the Chamber. While we see them at many events, ribbon cuttings, and more, I thought it was important to recognize and thank them for attending over 100 member celebrations and events this year! The Ambassadors are led by their Chairman, Frank Adams of Fastsigns, and Board Liaison, Jo Barsh of State Farm.  With 18 total members today, we’re still looking to add more to the team! If you’re interested in joining, please visit the Chamber website or reach out to the Chamber staff. https://wochamber.com/committee/ambassador-committee/

Economic & Governmental Advocacy Committee (EGAC) – I’ve joined several EGAC meetings during the last year and have been very thankful for their guidance on several areas that the Chamber has been involved in. This committee is the collective voice on business issues including workforce, transportation, and education from the local to the federal level to advance a positive eco-system for the West Orange community. Jason Levin of Harry Levine Insurance is the EGAC Chairman, with Tim Haberkamp, owner of Hardee’s of Pine Hills, as the Board Liaison. Both gentlemen join an incredible group of leaders who help steer the Chamber in these areas. https://wochamber.com/committee/economic-and-governmental-advocacy-committee/

Networking Groups – We have four networking groups that meet on a weekly basis to help drive business opportunities for all within the group. The four leaders of these groups – Kira Colon of Maventri,, Tom Sheldon of Any Lab Test Now, Landra Wormack with the Office of the Orange County Tax Collector, and Jim Zeitschel of Prime Lending,  all put a lot of work into making sure the groups are valuable for the members that participate. Without their leadership, we wouldn’t have these strong connections and opportunities, for which we’re very grateful. . Adam Markowitz, Luminary Tax Collectors is the Board Liaison for the Networking Group, with great experience having been a networking group leader in the past.

Thank you to all our members that give their time and leadership to all these programs to help the Chamber continue to grow and provide opportunities for the West Orange community!
